- Mr. Yong will discuss how smaller, lighter weight, yet powerful
- computers are going to challenge current desktop systems and what this
- means for pen computing. The Dauphin's vison to put the power of
- desktop units into the hands of professionals everywhere will be
- presented. Also will be explained are differences among hardware
- platforms, for example, PDA, handhelds, personal communicators, and
- convertibles. Hardware/software possibilities and technology
- limitations are to be be explored as well.

- About the speaker:

- Alan Yong is the President, Charmain and CEO of Dauphin Technology,
- Inc., a designer and manufacturer of laptop, notebook, and pen-based
- computer founded in June 1988. In 1991, Dauphin was awarded an
- exclusive subcontractor to Sears Business Centers with a $400 million
- government contract to supply more than 75,000 Daupin laptops and
- notebooks to DOD. The company is now playing a major role in mobile
- computing industry.

- B.S. behavioral sicence from George Williams College, Downers Grove,
- Illinois.

- cross street is River Oaks. The training room is located in building
- 3. Please follow the sign to the main lobby and sign-in at the
- security desk. Immediately after passing the security desk, to the
- right is the training room. A security guard will present be at main
- lobby between 6:45 to 7:30 pm to keep the door open. Late comers
- please find the employee entrance door (follow the sign) and dial
