  36. Mr. Yong will discuss how smaller, lighter weight, yet powerful
  37. computers are going to challenge current desktop systems and what this
  38. means for pen  computing.  The Dauphin's vison to put the power of
  39. desktop units into the hands of professionals everywhere will be
  40. presented. Also will be explained are differences among hardware
  41. platforms, for example, PDA, handhelds, personal  communicators, and
  42. convertibles.  Hardware/software possibilities and technology
  43. limitations are to be be explored as well.

  47. Alan Yong is the President, Charmain and CEO of Dauphin Technology,
  48. Inc., a designer and manufacturer of laptop, notebook, and pen-based
  49. computer founded in June 1988.  In 1991, Dauphin was awarded an
  50. exclusive subcontractor to Sears Business Centers with a $400 million
  51. government contract to supply more than 75,000 Daupin laptops and
  52. notebooks to DOD.  The company is now playing a major role in mobile
  53. computing industry.

  55. Alan Yong hold an MBA degree frmo Northern Illinois University and a
  56. B.S. behavioral sicence from George Williams College, Downers Grove,
  57. Illinois.

  66. lobby between 6:45 to 7:30 pm to keep the door open.  Late comers
