- I have a IBM PS/2 Model 50 that I bought back in '87 or so.
- It still works fine, although it's getting more and more out
- of date as we speak.
-
- The power supply in it seems to have a problem. Sometimes
- it won't turn on, but a good whack on the side of the machine will
- get it started. I'm not joking, it really does work. Well, it's getting
- more and more tempermental and I'm getting fed up with it.
-
- I'm looking for a repair place that can fix it for under the
- price of a new machine of the same caliber. It has a funky power
- supply and I'm not sure how readily available they are as parts. The
- power supply itself doesn't look too serviceable.
-
- I don't really want to take it back to IBM, since they'll charge me more
- then the machine is worth.
-
- Any recommendations would be appreciated.
