  13.     Preliminary CALL FOR PAPERS and PARTICIPATION

  18. AI'93 will be held in Melbourne, Victoria during 17 - 19/11/93 
  19. with one day workshops and tutorials on 16/11/93. Paper submissions 
  20. are welcome from researchers in all fields of AI. The conference 
  21. will include presentation of refereed papers and invited talks. 
  22. The conference proceedings will be published in a book format. 
  23.  
  24. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
  25.     - Machine Learning and Knowledge Acquisition
  26.     - Cognitive Modeling
  27.     - Robotics & Vision
  28.     - Natural Language
  29.     - Automated Reasoning (scheduling, planning)
  30.     - Knowledge-based Systems
  31.     - Knowledge Representation
  32.     - Qualitative Reasoning
  33.     - Neural Networks & Genetic Algorithms
  34.     - Distributed AI

  36. PAPER FORMAT FOR REVIEW:

  38. Each submission must be clearly legible, with good quality print. 
  39. The body of the paper, including the abstract and references, must not
  40. exceed a total of sixteen double-spaced pages, formatted with a twelve 
  41. point font and one inch margins. Each paper must have a separate title 
  42. page including the postal addresses of all authors and e-mail addresses 
  43. if available, an abstract, and at least three keywords indicating the 
  44. problem area and general approach.

  46. REQUIREMENT FOR SUBMISSION:

  48. Authors must submit four copies of their papers by Friday,
  49. 28 May, 1993. Electronic or FAX submission is NOT acceptable.
