  19. One could simply say that it is for a costume.  Goodwill takes out ads
  20. (at least here in Austin whenever halloween approaches) that explicitly
  21. suggest the store as a good source of CD costumes, so it would seem
  22. they are mellow about the concept.

  24. Depending on your semantics of the word "costume", this explanation
  25. has the advantage of being true, and is in any case probably more plausible
  26. than that you're buying clothes for someone else.  (At least I always
  27. have bad luck picking out clothes for other people, both stylewise
  28. and fitwise.)
