- There are some exceptions, of course, like those you mentioned, but
- generally ST demo consists of a game-style mainmenu, (not always game-
- style, but mainmenu anyway) from which you can get into different
- demoscreens, which generally consist of a couple of scrollers, some
- sprites and colourful rasters...
-
- I think we have a different meaning for word "designed" :)
- A carefully designed demo should have style. I think most games
- do not have that kind of style; how could then a main menu which is
- almost as good as a commercial game have that kind of style...
-
- I do not like mainmenus, since they make a demo consists of several
- little demos, and it does not form a whole anymore.
-
- (Oh Crikey Wot A Sorcher was exception...)
-
- My definition for a well designed demo is that it should run smoothly,
- stop not for loading, stop not to show every f***ing routine for
- several minutes, have good graphics and good sound (no bilp-blop)...
-
- ST is capable for that, no doubt.
-
- By this definition we (Aggression) have done none well designed demos.
- (This far...)
-
- BTW, what comes to Delta Force, they have also noticed the lack of
- design in ST demos.
