  14. I've got the "If it's not one it's the other syndrome".  The XLT special
  15. is running great but I'm having a problem with the old Arctic Cat that I
  16. can't seem to nail.  The sled is a 1981 El tigre 5000.  This is a 500cc
  17. twin free air.  The problem seems to happen while trail riding at slow
  18. to moderate speeds.  I lose power (bogs).  With the trottle pinned the
  19. track won't even turn.  I can't give RPM because the sled isn't equipped
  20. with one.  When this situation occurs there is always a air bubble in
  21. the line between the gas tank and the fuel filter.  I disconnect the
  22. hose at the filter and blow air back into the tank.  The fuel will then
  23. start pouring out of the line as I reconnect it to the filter.  I have
  24. cleaned out the gas tank. Replaced all the fuel lines and installed new
  25. hose clamps at all connections.  The only thing I can think of is
  26. perhaps replacing the diaphrams in the fuel pump.  I haven't taken it
  27. apart to look yet. Does this sound feasible?  Any ideas?
  28.     I should mention that after blowing back into the tank and
  29. reconnecting the hose the sled will run great for another 5 miles until
  30. the same problem occurs.
