  21. There's an interview with S. McG in this month's Q magazine (for those of you
  22. in UK) - basically, he left the band because of his amazing capacity for
  23. booze/strange substances, and has been doing some work with Nick Cave. They
  24. released a truly magnificent version of 'What a Wonderful World' over
  25. Christmas, which failed to chart over here. Allegedly, more collaborations are
  26. in the pipeline, and I read in the NME this week that he's got a solo deal for
  27. a new album, which could mean new stuff soon.. wahey!
  28.   The Pogues, meanwhile, filled in with Joe Strummer on vocals for a while, but
  29. AFAICT he never recorded with them. The current frontman for the band is Spider
  30. Stacy (the Pogues' tin whistle player). It was his vocals on the recent(ish)ly
  31. released Honky Tonk Woman.
  32.   I'll dig out the NME article on the solo deal if anyone's interested.
