- Bullshit! All these awards shows are bullshit! Garth Brooks I
- understand, but Billy Ray "Virus" and that "Achy Breaky" song are just
- utterly sickening. I suppose the same old maids that go to Chippendale
- shows were responsible for that. Remember these are the same people
- that inflict Michael Bolton (there's some *truly* abominable music) on
- us. I understand Mr. Virus is up for some Grammies too. Those awards
- are even worse! Remember Natalie Cole? Yuck! It was a 65-year old song,
- for crying out loud! Of course would I have preferred "Everything I
- Do...", that sappy piece of trash by Bryan Adams (no talent), or that
- Amy Grant song ? I was reduced to rooting for "Losing My Religion", the
- most obnoxious thing R.E.M. has ever recorded, other than "Shiny Happy
- People". Maybe Michael Stipe would have explained that stupid
- pseudo-intellectual pompous video in his acceptance speech. (Thank God
- for "Automatic for the People" ; I was getting worried about those
- guys.)
-
- Kris Kross. One word : "WHY?" Well, nobody ever went broke
- underestimating the intelligence of American consumers, especially my
- fellow youth. Every time I say (after Tiffany, New Kids, Bell Biv
- DeVoe, etc.) "it can't get worse," it does. I wonder what's next.

- If "Tears in Heaven" doesn't win "Song of the Year", I will PUKE!
