- Lets take this in two parts...
-
- First, Bill leaving Stones. Well, it is true that he has been on UK
- TV talking about it, and he has been telling his friends :-) since early
- December (30th Anniversary of his joining the band), that he'd had
- enough. He enjoyed the last 2 tours, but quite simply he wanted to do
- other things. (If you read Stone Alone you'll get a sense of why he's
- fed up being a second class Stone, and also he did walk out of an "At
- The Max" overdubbing session when Jagger asked him to overdub 4 songs
- during which there were NO shots at all of him in the film - and as a
- result of that one he has stupidly IMHO refused to see the film).
-
- Also he hates flying, and drove himself to Sweden last summer when he
- did a 2 week guest spot with Willie & The Poor Boys.
-
- Now, here's the rub..... Despite my earlier postings on this - and MY
- sources quite literally could not be bettered, I still have this
- nagging doubt about it. Here's a bloke, a good bloke, whose life is
- devoted to the band, who sits (literally) knee deep in the most
- amazing memorabilia (obsessively collected) from around the world. Is
- it all just a publicity thing...? Just maybe.
-
- Second. Entwhistle. Doubt it.

- follow up posting with joining instructions.
