  14.         Okay, Deep Purple fans... Time to nail down at least one
  15.     of the rumors that's been floating around lately... And this is
  16.     as "official" as un-official news can be!

  18.         According to the UK's Deep Purple Appreciation Society,
  19.     Ian Gillan HAS, indeed, rejoined the band. Their current plans
  20.     include a new LP and tour to celebrate their 25th anniversary
  21.     this year.

  23.         Given Gillan's and Blackmore's antipathy towards one
  24.     another, I don't know HOW this can be, nor how long it can pos-
  25.     sibly work out... but I trust that the DPAS has its info cor-
  26.     rect; they have their act together!

  28.         When the band re-formed in '84, I was speechless with
  29.     happy disbelief; when Gillan left in '89, I predicted that the
  30.     band would NEVER have that lineup again... I can't tell you how
  31.     happy I am to be proven wrong!
