  14. Now as a frequent reader of this newsgroup, I've been anxious to hear what
  15. people think about new stuff -- what's hype, what's tripe and all that.
  16. Aside from the recent criticisms of Heavy D. and the Boyz's new LP, however,
  17. and the obligatory Show 411's and turntable sales, I've been seeing a lot
  18. of rumors on this board.  Somebody heard something somewhere from someone,
  19. and, of course, they want to tell the world about it.  An example of some
  20. of these posts in the past couple of weeks:

  22. - Everlast OD'd on coke and bit the big one.
  23. - De La Soul broke up.
  24. - Mary J. Blige is a lesbian.
  25. - Scarface was wet up in a shoot out in Louisiana.
  26.  
  27. People, what is this shit?  Was this on the news?  Did you read it in the
  28. paper?  Do we have any substantial evidence to support any of these claims?
  29. Or was this just something that travelled from friend to friend to friend
  30. until it got to you that Elvis was working at a garage in Lexington, Ky.?
  31. Anybody care to wager whether this kind of thing led to the breakup of EPMD?
  32. Or any other groups out there that split up or are considering splitting up?

  34. Please, in the future, if you're not quoting AP or The Source word for word,
  35. keep this bullshit out of our newsgroup.  This ain't alt.he.say.she.say.  It
  36. doesn't belong here.
