- Why would you have any expectation of a cashier in New Jersey knowing
- what the tax laws are in New York, or any of the other 4,000 different
- taxing authorities that collect sales taxes in the U.S.

- Since New York State already sends all its tax payers forms each year
- reminding them to pay all the tax they owe, their intent in targeting
- specific individuals with letters based on their trip to New Jersey
- seemed more intimidating.

- The issue isn't as black&white as saying are you for or against license
- plates. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say I am against the
- misuse of vehicle registration information. Objects such as license
- plates aren't intrinsically good or bad, it is how they are used.
