  19. Why would you have any expectation of a cashier in New Jersey knowing
  20. what the tax laws are in New York, or any of the other 4,000 different
  21. taxing authorities that collect sales taxes in the U.S.

  23. Since New York State already sends all its tax payers forms each year
  24. reminding them to pay all the tax they owe, their intent in targeting
  25. specific individuals with letters based on their trip to New Jersey
  26. seemed more intimidating.

  36. The issue isn't as black&white as saying are you for or against license
  37. plates.  Perhaps it would be more accurate to say I am against the
  38. misuse of vehicle registration information.  Objects such as license
  39. plates aren't intrinsically good or bad, it is how they are used.
