- We in the US deeply distrust our government. To most of us government
- will primarily serve to take away freedoms and wealth. The less
- government to us, equals more freedom and more wealth.
-
- Freedom is equated to privacy in our Constitution. With universal
- identification, we lose our privacy (or freedom if you prefer), and
- wealth. Wealth is diminished due to increases in the role of the
- government in our lives. This approach may be hard to understand to
- some people just as I find it hard to understand why anyone in any
- country actually wants more and more government.
