- IMHO, the last thing the military needs to be spending money on in this era
- of recession is building four bathrooms in every building. However, a few
- thin partitions and plastic shower curtains can do *wonders* for providing
- shower privacy, at a very low cost. I have always failed to see this deep-
- rooted need for exhibitionism in the military (and, just as often, in locker
- rooms at almost any old gymnasium or athletic building) that causes them
- to build the showers as one HUGE tiled room with shower heads along one
- wall, and no other partitions. Sheets of plastic just don't cost that much.
- Frankly, if they put such partitions up, the only time you'd see another person
- is in a towel, which should satisfy everyone's needs for concealing their
- genitalia.

- Problems in people's minds are problems nonetheless. This is not to say
- that I support segregation; just that you can't ignore the fact that
- allowing homosexuals in the military probably *would* cause morale problems
- for some of the more gung-ho military types. Hopefully such problems
- are not unsolveable....
