- I was not trying to be funny. If you thought the use of Blacks vs.
- Whites was funny in the ridiculous sense, that's exactly the kind of
- feelings the gay community is trying to raise when people discriminate
- against them.

-
- So? Did you shower with other men when you were in college? Do think
- that some of those men might have been homosexual? If so, do you then
- conclude that gay men should be restricted from going to college
- because it made you "uncomfortable"? Did it affect your performance in
- college?
-
- >If you think about the logical extensions of that discomfort into
- >various interactions in the military
-
- Sorry, but these extensions are unreasonable. Yes, the shower
- situations might prove uncomfortable but I think you overestimate the
- reaction gay men have to nakedness. The college shower scene is again
- a good example.
-
- Even so, I don't see how situations outside of the shower "extend" to
- other non-sexual situations and cause discomfort. Does just the
- thought that a gay soldier might be attracted to a straight soldier
- cause him sufficient discomfort to affect his performance? Such
- psychological feelings *do* parallel the race problems of early years.
- The probem is not the gay man, it's the straight man's attitude.
- That's what you need to fix.

-
- Oh, please. So you think it would be okay for the military to
- allow only WASP men in the military because it restricts voters
- to those at least 18 years old? If not, ask yourself why.
