  11. Realizing that this newsgroup is read by about 40,000 men and 8 women 
  12. (all of whom are either psychotic, married, have already dated me, not 
  13. interested, or all of the above), I blindly fire the following out into 
  14. the matrix anyway. Who knows, maybe there's really NINE women reading 
  15. this.

  17. SWM, 26, ISO ...anyone? (I suppose I prefer females. Hard to argue with 
  18. the biological imperative.)

  20. Me: In a "perfect world", I'd be a writer-cum-bard, traveling about the 
  21. country, jotting down impressions of life and people. *sigh* Of course, 
  22. this isn't a perfect world. I currently make my living as a dataslave, 
  23. riding herd over a network of Macintoshes, whiling away time filling up 
  24. word processor screens. In my leisure time, I try to write, but usually 
  25. end up playing the latest k0Ol whizzBang 'puter game. I try to go out and 
  26. actually have a social life, but usually end up in some smoky dive 
  27. listening to some horrendous bar band. Sometimes with a woman at the 
  28. other end of the table, sometimes not. I all too often wear my heart on 
  29. my sleeve, and am thus easy prey for the psychic vampires that stalk the 
  30. dimly lit chambers, the ones I always seem to return to, offering up my 
  31. neck, my heart, my life. Out of the last six women I had a "serious 
  32. relationship" with, one currently denies it ever happened, two don't 
  33. return my calls, two I don't return their calls, and one was murdered two 
  34. months ago. Since the unifying factor in all of these relationships was 
  35. that I was involved in them, I'm starting to get suspicious.

  37. You: Intelligent, strong-minded, opinionated, witty, probably considered 
  38. by most as fairly odd. Looks, age, race, creed - all unimportant. I 
  39. *seriously* doubt that we will ever meet face-to-face. I currently live 
  40. in Arkansas, and specialize in living in out-of-the-way places such as 
  41. upstate Maine and northern Florida, attempting to outrun culture. I'm not 
  42. looking for the "love of my life" through a computer terminal, and you 
  43. aren't either... just connections, people united by a questioning drive, 
  44. to survive life and perhaps even something more. Someone to talk to, to 
  45. bounce hopes and fears off of.

  47. I'm not into virtual sex, in all its myriad forms. Sex to me is just an 
  48. excuse to look into the eyes of another human being, and I'm 
  49. depersonalized enough by reality as it is. So if you're looking for that, 
  50. sorry.
