  17.      A self-aware lady (between 25-35 years) with whom to 
  18. share views on life and love, to develop a lasting friendship, 
  19. and, while not essential, to develop a long-term relationship.

  39.      I have developed a balanced and realistic view on life.  I 
  40. am an introspective person, measuring myself and my 
  41. performance in life from what I feel within myself, and not as 
  42. much by what the world tells me.  Balancing against my 
  43. introverted tendency is my sociable side, allowing me to be 
  44. comfortable when chatting with strangers and forming new 
  45. friendships.  I use the inputs of others to point out 
  46. shortcomings in my style of living, but have learned not to 
  47. take all things to heart.  Expression of feelings and emotions 
  48. of all types is critical for me, as it is for anyone.  Balancing 
  49. against my emotional side is a thinking side, looking at the 
  50. facts and attempting to reach a logical solution to a given 
  51. problem.  My intuitive side is perhaps my most well developed 
  52. skill.  It has helped me greatly in my engineering/research 
  53. profession.  And as well, I like to dream, and then work hard to 
  54. make the dream reality through blood, sweat, and tears.  I 
  55. often dream lofty dreams, but temper them against a realistic 
  56. perspective.  I am working hard at making honest, direct and 
  57. clear self-expression my way, while stating these things in a 
  58. non-accusatory, non-manipulative way.  Equally as important I 
  59. am learning to listen and allow people to be this way with me.  
  60. I am learning to give to people when appropriate for both them 
  61. and myself, and as well when to ask for things from others.

  63.      Beliefs on relationships
  64.      I believe that a friendship is based upon the mutual 
  65. acceptance of another person, regardless of his or her beliefs 
  66. in life.  I believe friends should be willing to listen unselfishly 
  67. to other friends in need, and equally as well have friends to 
  68. whom they can speak when they are needy.  Friends can share 
  69. similar or entirely different interests, as long as people are 
  70. accepted for who they are.  
  71.      I believe that well-defined and well-developed *self* 
  72. awareness from both partners in a long-term romantic 
  73. relationship is the key to the ultimate success of the 
  74. relationship.  With self awareness from both partners, honesty 
  75. with feelings (good and "bad" alike) and needs flows easily 
  76. from each person, and the honest expression of feelings and 
  77. needs is as easily heard by each person.  I believe each person 
  78. in a successful LTR must accept, or has accepted, his or her 
  79. partner as he or she is, with both beauty and flaws equally 
  80. intact.  
  81.      I do not believe that there is a *perfect* woman out there 
  82. for me, but rather a woman who has accepted herself and can 
  83. accept me as I am.  Neither of us will manipulate or guilt trip 
  84. the other, nor will we carry "Pygmalion project" plans on our 
  85. minds.  I steer absolutely clear from those seeking fatherly 
  86. figures, rescuees from life's hardships, "powerless" victims, 
  87. blamers, drug addicts, and rebounds.
