  21. But that's not what bugs me.  What bugs me is noticing, when I don't have
  22. a TV to turn to, how often I *want* to.   DAMN!  I'm a bleedin' vidiot!
  23. Since my layoff on the first of the year, I've probably watched two hunnerd
  24. friggin hours of CNN and become a _news_ junkie.

  26. For years, the TV was great - I'd watch "the Next Generation" with the
  27. stereo rigged in for surround sound, and occasionally check out the
  28. Playboy Channel, and maybe watch Letterman at midnight.

  30. Then, too many hours at home and it probably took me a week to get
  31. sucked into the habit.  And that's prolly why it blew now, too.
  32. 64 cable channels, and it's still a wasteland.

  37. Oh well, still gotta get it fixed, maybe I can kick the habit while it's in
  38. the shop.  I can tape Star Trek and watch it on my roommate's, later.

  40. RelatedPeeve:  Letterman's gonna move to an earlier timeslot.  I once recorded
  41. a couple of shows and watched 'em in the evening.  That shit's *only* funny
  42. to a brain that's stayed up past midnight.  It's great then, but I doubt
  43. it will translate.
