- I wake up. Have a quick look at the watch. 4:30. Damn! Why on Earth
- should I wake up at that time?
-
- Oh, well, I might as well grab something to eat, as I feel like I'm
- going to starve to death any second now. I look around. Something is
- clearly strange here. Where am I?
-
- Hmmm, this look definitely like JCMB. Maybe I didn't wake up, it's
- just a nightmare. Next to me there is a terminal, a mug of ObTea,
- and an ObBomb. What job was I working on before they hit me?
-
- In the meantime, my brain has sort of registered the "awakened"
- state of the rest of the body, and is trying its hardest to come
- up with some imitation of rational thougt. To begin with, how can
- it be 4:30am if outside is *light*? Hmmm, there's got to be an
- explanation somewhere.
-
- "Blame it on Mike Holmes" is the first thought I manage to complete.
- Could it be that I am turning into Jeremy? Naah.
-
- I look at the terminal, hoping that it can give me an idea. Apparently,
- I was posting a peeve when it happened. Whatever it was. The subject
- says: "Civilization".
-
- Suddenly, I remembered. Yesterday Mike Holmes forced me to take part
- in a game of Civilization. All the details start falling into place.
- I haven't had anything to eat in 29 hours, which explain the feeling
- that I'm starving to death. We started just as I was going out to
- get something to eat for dinner.
-
- I will spare you the details. At some point I decided it was getting
- late, so I went away. Only then I noticed it was 3am. But I couldn't
- possibly leave Mike alone to deal with the Froggies, who seemed to
- have stolen somewhere a superior technology, so at 3:10am I was back
- there.
-
- I can't remember precisely when I managed to drag myself back to the
- office to peeve about addictive games, must have been about 6, and the
- game had still a lot to go on. I must have fallen asleep halfway through
- my peeve.
-
- ObPeeve. Addictive games.
