  22. Well, there was this blonde in tight blue jeans standing on a trailer across
  23. the way whom JZ and I were ogling quite openly, and...oh, you mean *car-type* 
  24. stuff.

  26. Well, seeing as how my SCCA membership has temporarily lapsed, I couldn't
  27. work in the hot pits; I spent the whole time in the paddock doing general-
  28. type work, changing tires and wheels, putting cars on trailers, moving
  29. various objects around and insulting Andy Banta.  Also, we had a bottle
  30. of helium and a bag of balloons, which we filled with the gas and released
  31. at random intervals for no apparent reason besides our own amusement.
  32. Team FizzBall has an undserved reputation for weirdness..  
  33.  
  34. Anyway, it wasn't a real race weekend, just drivers' school.  We had a 
  35. couple of people driving, one of whom was alt.peeves' own Jack Poller.
  36. His Triumph Spitfire broke down for undetermined reasons, so he switched
  37. to a teammate's MGB and did very well; I understand that his best lap 
  38. record was better than the car's former owner's best time in an actual 
  39. race.
