  23. Did you notice a lot of VW buses?  Bumper stickers that said "I've
  24. tripped and I can't get down?"  You missed a great show, man...

  26. Peeve: (with disclaimer -- I love those guys anyway) the Grateful Dead
  27. always seem to schedule their shows around here on weekdays, which is
  28. a pain for those of us whose concept of heavy traffic is having to
  29. wait through two changes of a stoplight.  Of course, when they have
  30. them on weekends, the large ancient vehicles with a top speed of about
  31. 40 tend to confuse the usual bay area traffic of Hondas and Mustangs
  32. that can cross 3 lanes in less than a second.  Oh well, I've heard
  33. it's a lot worse when they tour -- sitting for hours on a 2-lane
  34. highway in the middle of nowhere, to get to a parking lot that holds
  35. a thousand cars for an arena that holds 20,000 people...
