- Thanks for making my point. You would "make sure nobody was home"
- before breaking in - that one of the advantages of allowing self
- defense: keeping the bad guys unsure. If you make it too hard to
- break in they'll find another place, but if you make it dangerous to
- break in then they'll find another way of living.

- Other than making my point, you failed to address the rebuttal of your
- point that a firearm couldn't be both safe from children and other
- pests and still be available for self defense purposes. There are a
- lot of devices that allow fast access to a handgun yet store it safe
- from small hands or from the casual thief. Have you an answer to this
- point?
