- What's the harm of having a piece of blue steel in a drawer? I'd say
- that there's little harm, or at least as little harm as in buying a
- bike or a butcher knife and not using it.

- And drunken folks frequently hop into cars and roar the wrong way on
- freeways, killing many innocent folks. What of it? Drunk people do
- really stupid things, and always will. Take away firearms and they'll
- more stupid things with something else - maybe a few even more stupid
- that firing firearms in random directions (something that has a low
- survival rate in Albuquerque).
-
- But yeah, consider this a confirmation: there are idiots that fire
- guns in non-vertical directions as noise-makers. This is sometimes
- done in celebration, and is illegal pretty much everywhere you go.
- It happens in Texas, Los Angeles, etc., whereever there are yahoos.

- The numbers don't need to impress, but to show something: the danger
- that you feel might well be misplaced.
