- Hello, I have a curious question for everyone. I have a monitor that
- I picked up from surplus and it's called a AT&T CRT814H monitor. I have not
- idea what standard it is. The data cable on it has a db25 ping male
- connector on it. That's right, 25 pin, not 9 pin or 15 pin high-density.
- Risking blowing out the monitor, I hooked up a generic RS232 (yes, I know
- what you are thinking, but the monitor was free) 9 to 25 pin converter to it.
- It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that it didn't work, but it
- almost did, except the pin with the synx line didn't match up so it was
- unreadable, but remarkably, was getting data. My question to everyone here is
- what are the pin-outs for this monitor and if possible, can I get some specs
- on it (frequency range, is it PC compabible, etc...). The only things I can
- figure out is that it is a twelve inch monitor on a swivel stand, and that it
- does have color on it (in the above mentioned experiment, I hooked it up to
- an ATI VGA wonder on its digital port). Any Ideas? Any help? It would be
- greatly appreciated. Thank you
