- This discussion on the peace symbol is getting rather silly - in any case its
- historical origins in the CND is well documented. If I may put in my two cents
- worth, the peace symbol can be seen as the rune Elhaz, inverted within a
- circle. Elhaz is often known as the life rune, and Elhaz inverted as the death
- rune. So everybody using the peace symbol is symbolically sending out messages
- of death - but then, this might have been appropriate for a group opposed to
- nuclear annihilation! Ain't symbolism fun? --David
