  12. This discussion on the peace symbol is getting rather silly - in any case its
  13. historical origins in the CND is well documented. If I may put in my two cents
  14. worth, the peace symbol can be seen as the rune Elhaz, inverted within a    
  15. circle. Elhaz is often known as the life rune, and Elhaz inverted as the death
  16. rune. So everybody using the peace symbol is symbolically sending out messages
  17. of death - but then, this might have been appropriate for a group opposed to
  18. nuclear annihilation! Ain't symbolism fun?  --David
