  30. Think of it this way.  A woman bleeds profusely from her genitals
  31. starting at puberty.  Men of course, would have to cut theirs open and
  32. MAKE it bleed, and they would have to hope it doesn't trigger an
  33. infection.  You would have to find someplace to make the cut, of course.

  35. This would, however, not be the easiest, cheapest, and most effective
  36. way of obtaining genital blood.

  38. Many men have volunteered for this, and even celebrated it to the
  39. express exclusion of females -- see the bar mitzvah and it's PC and much
  40. more underrated cousin the bat mitzvah.  Someone once said that many
  41. rites for manhood involve taking over the functions that women perform
  42. naturally.  Besides, many male rituals of bonding and all that seem to
  43. involve stoic bearing of great pain.  This would be no different.
