  12. Greetings.  I am a medievalist with a specialty in Arthurian literature and 
  13. I was wondering if anyone out there knew of any other legends/myths that 
  14. concern the "return of the hero."  The only ones that I am familiar with are 
  15. the Arthurian legends and the legends of Finn and the Fianna, in Ireland, 
  16. and I wondered how many other mythologies around the world have a similar 
  17. theme.  That is, the idea of a great king, and his companions, "sleeping," 
  18. and, once woken, returning to the present time to rule again, or set things 
  19. right.  I would greatly appreciate it if anyone with such information would
