- I agree with you. Although I really like the idea suggested above,
- I don't think I could do it. Gutless, I guess!

- I've been trying to put together a public awareness ad campaign on
- the topic, but so far have only had my ads published in one
- newspaper. I really think a lot of it is a matter of education.
- For instance, I spoke to a woman last night who said, "well, I
- would never do that...the only time I leave my child alone in the
- car is to run into 7-11, and I just make sure to keep my eye on
- the car the whole time" Well, unfortunately, that's the story that
- most parents will relate when they come into the Child Quest office.
- "I was only gone for one second and I was watching the car, etc., etc.,
- and I just turned my head for one quick second to pay the cashier and..."

- I'm not criticizing these parents AT ALL! I am just saying that we
- need to get the word out that it only takes a second for the worst
- to happen.
