  24.  And actually, that proves my point.  If the "great" Rebbe Akiva was
  25.  so deceived in proclaiming bar-star as the Messiah; how do you know
  26.  that the rest of the Rabbis, (most who are not as 'great' as R. Akiva)
  27.  are not as deceived in thinking that Y'shua is not the Messiah?!

  29.  But you want the name of one that was Observant of the Mitzvot and the
  30.  halachah?  Ok..., Shabbaton Tzvi was Orthodox, Observant, and a
  31.  kabbalistic Jew when large portions of Observant Jews, (including a
  32.  GREAT deal of Rabbis of note), on three continents, including almost
  33.  EVERYBODY in and around Amsterdam, proclaimed his as Messiah!  Again:
  34.  if these Rabbis and great numbers of "ORTHODOX/OBSERVANT" folks could
  35.  be so deceived in thinking that S. Tzvi was the Messiah -- and were
  36.  wrong; why do you think it is so strange that MJ's suggest that the
  37.  Rabbis are likewise deceived - when they (the Rabbis) think that
  38.  Y'shua is not the Messiah?

  40. Think about it, there are plenty of false-messiahs over the centuries,
  41. that have fooled, at different times, a great number of the Rabbis,
  42. including some major "sages"!  But here we are 2,000 years later, and
  43. Jews are still discussing why some do and some don't believe that
  44. Y'shua is the Messiah.  But over the last two millenium there are no
  45. significant numbers of the Y'hudim who take any other one personage in
  46. history seriously as being the Messiah for long - not Tzvi, not Frank,
  47. not Bar-Kochabba; not even the Rebbe from Brooklyn-(yet another in a
  48. long line of false-messiahs!)  But yet, here you are, discussing with
  49. Jews if Y'shua is the Messiah. - And the numbers of Jews you can
  50. discuss this with is rapidly growing!

  52. Meanwhile, "modern" Judaism (for the most part) looks for a time of
  53. "peace" before they will acknowledge the Messiah - while Tanakh and the
  54. sages say: ...Messiah first comes and dies, in a time of distress, and
  55. even on the foal of an ass!
