  12. On the general subject of transmutation of elements:
  13. Wasn't there a (French, I think) experimentor who
  14. (relatively recently) has made claims that living
  15. organisms can transmutate such? Specifically, from
  16. what I remember, he fed chickens carefully controlled
  17. diets containing insufficient amounts of calcium
  18. to produce eggshells. The implications of the
  19. `research' was that the chickens could (and did)
  20. turn an allied element into the required calcium.

  22. Sorry this is a bit vague - I shall look up more information,
  23. but I would be interested in finding out more than the relatively
  24. small anecdotal reports I have read.
