- My offer to post the bibliography in Sadoul's _Le_Tresor_Des_Alchimistes_
- found a taker.
-
- How to read this:
- Author(s), french title (my best translation - where I deemed necessary).
- editor when specified, year of publication, ...
-
- I've taken the content as is. Unfortunately, most books are in french,
- some in latin or another language. My translation of the titles may be
- more confusing than helpful, sorry. Many of these books now exist only in
- museums or libraries. Some might be available for reading but I can't
- give any garantees. In the second part, the list is of books that have
- been re-edited/published. You should have a better chance with those, but
- look for the author's name, not the translated title.
-
- Here it is:
-
- "The works that must be read are preceded by a *. I have voluntarily limited
- the number of ancient books to consult in librairies. This bibliography, far
- from pretending to be complete, is meant only to be practical and useful to
- the reader."(1)

- As Josh mentioned, Sadoul is very french. What else can we expect of someone
- who lives in France and writes in french only (as far as I know)?
-
-
- Coming soon on a big (or little) screen near you:
- " Main Alchemy treaties of ancient philosophers"
- (last section of Sadoul's _Le_Tresor_des_Alchimistes_'s bibliography)
-
- Sorry, but it's 2:30am EST and I've had enough for one night. :-)
-
- Ladislas.

- (1): author's note concerning his bibliography, as translated by me.
- (2): "Les Angelots" might be the author's own shop. I'm not really sure
- what it is, if not.
