  13.     Did anyone ever come up with an explanation for why Lemacs 19.4 wants to
  14. leave ^M's at the end of lines? Someone guessed that it had something to do with
  15. not running fixincludes when compiling gcc, but I don't think that's the case on
  16. my system. (Besides, I can't for the life of me figure out how non-ANSI include
  17. files could cause ^M's to start showing up.)

  19.     Is there a (known) answer for this? I can live with it (real X support
  20. is worth a few sacrifices) but it would be nice to get it fixed.

  22.     Oh, and one more request: does anyone have a drop-in replacement for the
  23. lemacs 19.4 compile.el that will support multiple directories?
