- Did anyone ever come up with an explanation for why Lemacs 19.4 wants to
- leave ^M's at the end of lines? Someone guessed that it had something to do with
- not running fixincludes when compiling gcc, but I don't think that's the case on
- my system. (Besides, I can't for the life of me figure out how non-ANSI include
- files could cause ^M's to start showing up.)

- Is there a (known) answer for this? I can live with it (real X support
- is worth a few sacrifices) but it would be nice to get it fixed.

- Oh, and one more request: does anyone have a drop-in replacement for the
- lemacs 19.4 compile.el that will support multiple directories?
