  14. Calc 2.02 has never worked with lemacs; the next version will, but
  15. it has been a long time coming due to other time pressures.  There
  16. are a few last items that need to be cleaned up, but then it will
  17. be ready for alpha and beta testing fairly soon.

  19. As well as fixing the problems caused by lemacs' new keymap and
  20. event paradigm, Calc under lemacs will be able to use the fast
  21. built-in floating-point math (as well as its own high-precision
  22. math), and will have a new feature for mouse-based interactive
  23. algebra.

  25. I'll also be releasing a rewritten, safe-to-use "cl.el" package,
  26. probably in the next week or two.  This package is considerably
  27. more efficient and compact than the old one, and does not clobber
  28. any Emacs primitives or clutter the Lisp namespace.
