- Lucid emacs 19.4 was just announced to comp.windows.x.announce. I've
- been interested in picking this up for some time, but before I do, I
- want someone to tell me what I'll be able to do with it. I don't like
- using the mouse, so I'm not to excited about the menubar and dialog
- boxes, but there are presumably lots of neat things that could be done
- with multiple fonts, colors and screen. If anyone has written useful
- elisp that takes advantage of these features of lemacs, I'd like to hear
- about it.
-
- For example, is there a man-page mode for viewing man pages with
- multiple fonts? Is there an improved gdb mode that displays break
- points with little stopsign icons? Will M-x compile open a new screen
- to display process output in, rather than dividing my main editing
- screen into two windows?
-
- Please reply directly to david@ora.com, since I haven't subscribed to
- this mailing list yet.
