  20. The only one that I know of is a watered-down BASIC compiler called ASIC
  21. (as in: "Almost BASIC") which I had found in the Simtel-20 Archives
  22. in the directory pd1:<msdos.basic>. The file is: ASIC20.ZIP.1. This compiler
  23. and interpreter package makes up for the fact that it's watered-down by 
  24. producing code which is extremely fast, compared to QBASIC's .exe files.
  25. I don't use it much, due to its limitations, but you may find it useful.
  26. I believe it is SHAREWARE, and an updated version may be had for a small fee,
  27. _I think_. It comes with mucho documentation; be sure to read carefully,
  28. since it is "BASIC-like", but with differences.
