- I know of 4 alternatives to emacs for reading texinfo files. 3
- are available on prep.ai.mit.edu.

- 1. Use the texinfo macros with TeX and just print the document.
- This is the alternative which requires software not on prep (as far as I
- know - you have to have TeX installed on your system).

- is a bit out of date and won't read some texinfo files - I don't know if
- gawk is one of them. If it won't read gawk texinfo, perhaps someone out
- there who knows X11 would be kind enough to fix xinfo so that it can be
- used...
