- Man, all this stuff about bots is getting old. What can you do?
- Get admins to restrict the number of IRC processes? Kill all processes on
- logout? Good idea, but it's not fair to others who don't run bots and use
- their accounts for O.K. things. /ignore *bot/*serv all? Nah, the bots are
- still there. I can remember about 5 months ago, an Irc Op would kill bots
- if there was more than one on an account. All those /kills screw up the net
- too. When I asked about Sexter/Tubster he said that they were here longer
- and they can stay. What bull. It's all those "nasty" bots (i.e. MrsBot,
- DickBot, etc) that make people want bots gone. Bots linked together
- (NickServ, NoteServ) aren't the greatest bots either. With NickServ sending
- out the longer-than-needed "That nick is registered" notices, that's sure to
- cause some problems. NoteServ is useless without NickServ and with NickServ
- lagged most of the time, it makes for more useless bots. NoteServ should be
- a free standing bot to make them MUCH easier and faster. I've gotten NO
- complaints about my bots, ZeeBot and LinkServ, and ZeeBot is on #hotsex.
- So people, you can keep posting and waste bandwidth or you can do something
- about it instead of complaining and making dumbass remarks.
- Ta ta...
