- I decided not to quote any of the preceding messages. Essentially,
- the discussion is about whether Return of the Living Dead is part of
- Romero's official 'Dead' universe.

- It is not related in any way to Dawn or Day, but rather seems to be a
- parallel universe offering a different, more comical, approach to
- Romero's basic premise. In the first ROTLD, when the characters first
- go to look at the zombies in the basement, one tells the other that
- Night was based on a real incident, and that the zombies are the
- outcome of that incident. On the basis of this scene, I would
- interpret it as being as a parody, or a parallel universe, rather than
- a direct sequel.
