  18. FFC's dream was to create a trilogy of remakes of classic gothic tales, which
  19. were supposed to be the truest telling of the stories to date. 
  20. Unfortuanately (or fortunately, as you look at it), he was so pissed at the
  21. studio's desire to take control of these projects, that he surrendered rights 
  22. to direct them, and took up the role of executive producer.  The two movies,
  23. Frankenstein and The Invisible Man then went to the most gifted directors 
  24. FFC could find.  _Frankenstein_ went fast.  It will be directed by Kenneth
  25. Brannagh, with him playing in the starring role.  After seeing him play 
  26. Roman in _Dead_Again,_  I must say that this is a very, very good thing.  He
  27. can capture the mood PERFECTLY.  Emma Thomas will probably play his fiance, 
  28. which isd great, since we get to see her _die!_  No word yet on who's doing
  29. the invisible man.
