  12. I would appreciate information regarding the following guitars:

  14. Made in USA Fender Strat (Standard) #E929790 
  15. I have a chance to buy this for $550 and would like to know if this is
  16. a good price.  The guitar is in very good condition and plays well with
  17. no discernable buzz or intonation problems.  I was always led to
  18. believe that the last two numbers in the serial number indicates the
  19. date made...is this true (1990, in this case)?

  21. Also, a BC Rich Platinum Series with Floyd Rose bridge - #12761
  22. I aquired this used guitar recently (won it, actually...but that's
  23. another story;-)).  There is no paper work on it so I have no idea what
  24. year it is or what body style it is (unless Platinum Series indicates
  25. body style?)  I'm curious if anyone can tell me by the serial number
  26. what year it is...also, how much the guitar was worth new and how much
  27. it might fetch now (I would say it's in 'fair' condition...has been
  28. nicked up a bit, but plays fine).
