I have been reading this group for a while now and have chosen this
time to put my two cents in. When anyone goes to get an FCC license they know
the rules ... they know what the consequences are ... loose your license or
play by the rules that you had to sign your name to!
I have many of the "Howard Stern TV show" on tape ... I enjoy them
very much ... but the rules are the rules!
There are other ways of getting around the system ... the FCC a few
Years ago relaxed some of the rules when they said it was all right to play
blue material between the Hours of 12:00 Midnight and 5:00 am. Why did this
happen ... because of going through the legal system and playing by the rules.
The FCC because of many of the Radio Stations across America ... wanted it.
.. and they won the right to play just about anything between that time.
If Howard played by the rules ... and not break the laws and try to defend
himself after knowingly doing it. "I did hit him with my car and put him in
the hospital ... but he got in my way" what does it mean ... Breaking the rulesand then trying to change the rules while being prosecuted ... is stupid.
Finally, I play the Devils advocate here ... because someones got to do it ...
