- Well, actually, it's a statement of intent on behalf of the monks themselves.
- I've been to one of their concerts, and the same statement was made there,
- but got a bit of elaboration. They don't "perform" in the sense that
- other musicians do: ie. they aren't up there making those sounds so that you
- can hear them. Rather, they happen to be doing something (praying
- through sound)
- that they do regularly, and you just happen to have been allowed to sit
- there and
- watch them go about their usual business.
