  12. Elijah and Elisha were pretty well liked by God, they were "good friends."

  17. II Kings 2:23,24

  19. 23  And he [Elisha] went up from thence unto Beth-el: and as he was going up by
  20. the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and
  21. said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

  23. 24  And he turned back, and looked upon them, and cursed them in the name of
  24. the LORD.  And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty
  25. and two children of them.

  28. This is directly from the "Gideon" bible I stole from the last hotel I stayed
  29. in.  The section in the front that highlights important things that happen in
  30. the bible doesn't mention this.  Heh.

  33. BUT, this is from the newer "New International Version" and uses much clearer
  34. language:
  35.  
  36. 23  From there Elisha went up to Bethel.  As he was walking along the road,
  37. some youths came out of the town and jeered at him.  "Go on up, you baldhead!"
  38. they said.  "Go on up, you baldhead!"
  39.  
  40. 24  He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse in the name of the
  41. LORD.  Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.
