  22. I agree.  Not notifying the father and claiming potential abuse can
  23. hide, for example:
  24. i.  mother turning to hate the father because he chose not to marry her.
  25.     (The father could be a real jerk, but it`s also possible he may
  26.     have discovered the mother is real bitch in time to stop the
  27.     marriage, but not to stop the creation of a child.  It has been
  28.     known for a woman to get pregnant in order to try to make a man
  29.     marry her!)
