  12. If you enjoyed Gibson and Sterling's "The Difference Engine" then you should
  13. check out the current Scientific American.  They have finally built Babbage's
  14. machine...and it works!  A museum in England decided follow the blueprints of
  15. the Difference Engine and see if it could have been built.  Its huge, it
  16. weighs three tons, but it works and Babbage has been vindicated.  What if
  17. it had been built back then?  Makes you wonder...  Nah, the only difference
  18. would probably be that we would all be using MS-DOS 55.0 and Windows 33.1.
