- I think that posting an encapsulated alt "checkgroups" to alt.config would
- be great. By "encapsulated" I mean that it would not look like a checkgroups
- to the news transport -- it would only be executable if someone took it and
- fed it to their "inews" by hand.

- I'm not sure how (or whether) to respond to this. If several of us want to
- get together and co-manage our news servers to avoid duplication of effort,
- how can that be construed as "control freakism"? We are going to great
- lengths to make sure that noone receives the control messages without
- explicitly asking for them. Is there more we could do to prevent insecure
- sysadmins from feeling unduly controlled?
