  24. alt.answers.d makes no sense either.  Almost all the FAQ lists already
  25. indicate proper venues for discussion.  A structurally flawed solution
  26. would be to leave the alt FAQ's in news.answers, or for Jon to 
  27. make the also flawed choice of moving them to misc.answers.

  29. I'm basically against moderated alt groups.  But the answers charter
  30. carefully delimits the moderator's duties.  Jonathan has, as far
  31. as I can see, handled the group as the charter directs.  Most of the
  32. criticisms pointed at Jon have been more involved with style than with
  33. substance, and the arguments about substance seem to have no merit.
