- I am not yet convinced that there is a need for alt.pub.<discussion>
- What potential topics exist which a) are inappropriate for discussion
- within the pub.* groups themselves and b) are inappropriate for e-mail?
-
- Out-of-character collaboration on alt.pub.* stories has been accomplished
- quite successfully through e-mail. Indeed, some of the larger threads
- (the [R] and [KQ] on a.p.d-i, for example) involved the construction of
- de-facto temporary mailing lists.
-
- These communications are of no interest to persons not involved in writing
- the thread; there is no point in creating a group for them. If this is
- not what the alt.pub.<discussion?> group is intended to accomplish,
- please illuminate me.
