  14. Proposal to Create alt.politics.radical-left

  16. We would like to see the creation of alt.politics.radical-left,
  17. an unmoderated newsgroup whose function would be to act as a
  18. forum for news items and theoretical discussions dealing with
  19. leftist politics, national liberation struggles, militant
  20. resistance movements, etc. This newsgroup would, in some ways, be
  21. a more radical-left version of groups such as
  22. misc.activism.progressive, and would have a definite left-wing
  23. political focus, unlike other alt-realm groups like alt.activism.

  25. Again, there are, at present, no newsgroups in the alt-realm
  26. which have, as their aim, the exchange of news items with a
  27. radical-left focus. What's more, such news items are often hard
  28. to come by. Therefore, the creation of alt.politics.radical-left
  29. would fill a definite void and would be of great use to dozens of
  30. progressive groups currently operating in Cyberspace. Also, as an
  31. open group, it would allow other users with Usenet access to
  32. become exposed to left-radical politics.
