- I'm starting to investigate the possibilities about compressing.
- I'm working on a project in which images have to be compressed in
- order to transfer it via modem or other medium. There are some
- compressing methods available, LZW, run length, huffman etc.
- My question is this which one is best for compressing images or
- is there anything better.
- There is one condition: the compression time has to be (sort of)
- equal to the decompression time.
-
- Please send some information about these methods.
-
- Thanks in advance,
- E. van Egmond
